VZMC is supplied in two versions: one for Linux workstations working under the X windows system and another for Windows-based machines. Both are identical in features and their look and feel. The Windows version is shipped as a self-inflating installation binary; the Linux version is packaged as RPMs. The system requirements for the installation of the Virtuozzo Management Console workstation are outlined below.

Hardware Requirements:

• 300MHz or faster Pentium CPU recommended.
• 64MB or more memory recommended.
• 20MB of free space required for installation.
• Network connection is required; 64K and up generally recommended.
• Graphics card and monitor, supported by your system.

Tested Windows versions:

• Windows NT 4.0
• Windows 2000
• Windows XP

Tested Linux Distributions:

• Red Hat Linux 7.1
• Red Hat Linux 7.2
• ASPLinux 7.1
• ASPLinux 7.2

Hardware Node:

• Virtuozzo version 2.0.2 and up.
• Service VE must be installed and running.
• Management workstation should be able to access service VE over the network.
