Traditional Intel and Sparc servers are not suitable for continuous availability. They require be switching off or rebooting for maintenance or upgrade. This does not allow HSP to offer more than 99.99 service levels for dedicated and shared products. Without ability to granularly delegate control it's impossible to track whose responsibility is planned downtime, customers or HSPs.

To increase the availability and flexibility of the hardware units, SWsoft's proprietary xLswitch technology provides advanced clustering capability for HSPcomplete. xLswitch distributes the system load across racks of servers and constantly monitors the health of the hardware nodes. Damaged nodes are automatically taken out of the cluster and load on heavily used servers are distributed to other nodes in the cluster. The end result: greater efficiency, lower costs, higher quality, higher profits and higher revenue.
