ASPLinux Rolls Out in Asia A New Enterprise Linux Power

A span-off of SWsoft Pte Ltd, ASPLinux is taking a big step forward in Asia's popular open source operating system

ASPLinux 50x50Singapore - March 12, 2001 - SWsoft Pte Ltd, the leading software development company today announces that it spans off its ASPLinux business unit as an independent company. ASPLinux Pte. Ltd. will focus on development and promotion of its own Linux distribution, ASPLinux, in Asia. ASPLinux Pte. Ltd. will also provide its customers with Linux support services, web hosting services, application hosting and Linux training. The distinct nature of ASPLinux for the Linux open source operating system, will be seem at the forthcoming Linux World Expo in Singapore on March 22-24, 2001.

"Interest to Linux in Asia is steadily growing as from end users looking for alternative home operating system as well as from corporate users" said Azhard Naveed Kayani, Director of ASPLinux Pte Ltd. "It's becoming clear that major concerns for linux users becomes availability of support and training. ASPLinux Pte Ltd has emerged as an independent unit of SWsoft Pte Ltd and headquarter in Singapore. Besides, it has joined forces with business associates to setup affiliate offices in Korea and China. The joint forces will deliver ASPLinux software, support and services to the increasing customers in these region.
