I fully support the plans to allow opt-out of the expanded WHOIS for individuals on grounds of privacy, where the type of registrant is 'IND'.

I would also support the ability for 'OTHER' registrants to opt out.

We have a few clients who have registered domains for national organisations which are non-profit, club type associations. They have no official address to be used in the registration, and association officers change annually. Therefore the listed registrant address for the organisation is the address of the webmaster, which is a relatively stable position. They are also best placed to understand and deal with communications from Nominet. That address is therefore personal and should have the same rights to privacy - however under the proposed rules the registrant type would have to be specified as IND which is false.
