Communications Manager

Currently have overall responsibility for communications on the Tax Credits Programme, working on the next generation of tax credits

Led the development of the programme's external communications activity for the current tax credits - from strategic planning and the appointment of an advertising agency to a high-profile media launch by the Prime Minister and the Chancellor

Commissioned and produced two videos: one as a training aid for some 60,000 staff; and another that was mailed directly to nearly 600,000 small employers as part of a comprehensive programme of support for the introduction of the Working Families' Tax Credit

Leeds (Underwriters Unit) is the specialist office dealing with the tax affairs of underwriters at Lloyd's of London.

Led the district, with responsibility for some 130 staff and an annual budget of around £3m

Worked closely with the Lloyd's market when it was itself going through a period of structural change. Ensured the district maintained the quality of service to its 34,000 customers

Responsible for the day-to-day administration of a highly specialised area of tax law
