![]() He was admitted as a solicitor in 1991 after studying at Bristol where he obtained an honours degree in law. Before joining Lochners he worked with two prominent London law firms practising in Intellectual Property law. Simon specialises in contentious and non-contentious information technology and "soft" IP encompassing copyright, trade marks, designs, passing off and the protection of confidential information. He is a member of The Intellectual Property Lawyers Organisation, The Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys as well as other professional associations in his field and is regularly invited to speak at specialist IP seminars. He is the author of a number of articles published in his particular field. Cases in which he has been involved include Cala Homes v Alfred McAlpine Homes, Philips v Remington, Stoddard International v William Lomas and Yuen v McDonalds. |
